Primary Job Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager for PayPal Mobile in Latin America would create and execute a comprehensive go to market plan for PayPal Mobile in Latin America.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :

Landscape analysis of Latin American mobile eco system and competitive dynamics
Development of PayPal value proposition and definition of key use cases for various Latin American countries
Ability to navigate the mobile eco system at the most senior level (carriers, banks, handset manufacturers, merchants)
Ability to create and manage account plans for primary targets
Economic modeling

Partnership and Channel strategy for PayPal mobile offering
Mobile strategy definition with Latin America regional exec endorsement
Ability to create strategic and tactical level presentations
Ability to prioritize amongst opportunities/markets
Key partner identification and management to execute the Latin America mobile strategy
Priority markets Brazil, Mexico

Job Requirements

The business development manager will have to gain executive sponsorship from regional and corporate executive management.

Through his/her leadership he will be able to motivate the PayPal organization to support his activities.

He will be an outstanding team player, support and be supported by the mobile team members and regional teams.

He will have the capacity to progress in senior management roles within PayPal and eBay within or outside of the mobile group. Should be willing to travel.

The business development manager for Latin America will work closely with the following entities in a matrixed environment:

Regional sales and marketing execs and team so that Mobile is fully integrated in regional plans
Regional vertical functions that could support the strategy
San Jose Mobile BU and India Development/QA teams
